Board of County Commissioner Watch: Learn what’s going on in our County government and keep an eye on our three MAGA Commissioners. The meetings take place in Fairplay on Tuesdays and can be attended via Zoom or in person. Join the email list to be informed.
Guffey Social Hour: Join like minded folks at 1245 Canon St. on Fridays September 25 and October 23 starting at 4 pm. Just wear something BLUE so we know who we are. We’ll be at a table or upstairs.
Guffey Postcard Party: Join us on September 28 at 5 pm at the Guffey Community Charter School. We’re hand writing postcards to Democratic and left leaning voters in Park County to remind them to vote in November. Bring yourselves and a pen, 82c stamps or a donation if you can. We will be supplying stamps for those who can’t donate.
Guffey Candidate Meet & Greet: Join us for a candidate meet and greet on September 29 at 3 pm at the Guffey Community Center 1625 CR 102. Justin Kurth for Senate District 4, Consuelo Redhorse for House District 13 and Truman Esmond for Park County Commissioner District 3 will join us. Come meet them and bring your questions.

Banned Book Club of Park County: Dreaming in Cuban by Cristina Garcia
This is a 1992 novel exploring the impact of the Cuban Revolution on three generations of the Del Pino family. It was banned for sexually explicit language. We’ll meet to discuss it on October 14 at 7 pm via Zoom. Email for the link to join
Kenosha Clean Up: October 10 at 10 am. Get your gloves, boots, and pickers ready for this summer’s Kenosha Pass cleanups. The third and final clean up of the year, we will meet on Saturday October 10 at 10:00 AM in the east parking area on the top of the pass near the Colorado Trail crossing. All help is appreciated, and when we’re done we’ll adjourn for great hamburgers (local meat & veggie) & shakes at the Hungry Moose Caboose in Jefferson.
