Platte Canyon Candidate Forum: May 26 at 6 pm Platte Canyon Fire Station, 153 Dellwood Dr, Bailey. Meet the candidates from BOTH parties running for office in Park County in the June 30 Primary. Learn where they stand on issues impacting Park County. Refreshments provided.
Kenosha Clean Up: Saturday May 30 at 10 am. Get your gloves, boots, and pickers ready for this summer’s Kenosha Pass cleanups. This year we will again meet on Saturdays at 10:00 AM in the east parking area on the top of the pass near the Colorado Trail crossing. Save the following dates: May 30, August 8, and October 10. All help is appreciated, and when we’re done we’ll adjourn for great hamburgers (local meat & veggie) & shakes at the Hungry Moose Caboose in Jefferson.

Banned Book Club of Park County: Sold by Patricia McCormick
Sold is a 2006 young adult novel about a 13-year-old girl from Nepal, Lakshmi, who is sold into sexual slavery in India after her family falls into poverty. Written in a series of short, vignette-style chapters from Lakshmi’s perspective, the book details her horrific experience in a brothel and her struggle to survive, earning a National Book Award finalist nomination and other accolades. We’ll meet to discuss it on June 10 at 7 pm via Zoom. Email for the link to join
